It is said that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The same can be said for works of art. When you take a photograph, you are capturing your artistic ideas through imagery. The time has come for you as a photographer to invigorate and expand your artistic spirit through printing. The best way to reach these extraordinary heights is to print, exhibit and preserve your works of art up to 13" x 19" with the Pro9500 Mark II Inkjet Photo Printer.
The revered 10-full color pigment LUCIA Ink system includes gray, black and matte black inks that collectively produce monochrome photographs of unrivaled quality when using the professional finish and texture of Canon Fine Art Photo Papers. These genuine Canon papers combined with LUCIA Inks provide phenomenal photo vividness and longevity. This power is fully utilized with the all-new Ambient Light Correction1 feature, improved functionality within Easy-PhotoPrint Pro plug-in software2 and two separate paper paths, including a front feeder for heavyweight paper types.
Terrific Resolution - This level of quality is achieved by 4800 x 2400 maximum color dpi3 thanks to Canon Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering (FINE) with a patented printhead firing ink droplets as small as 3pl. This delivers professional quality and detail for all of your photos. High-Performance Ink Tank System - This amazing 10-full color pigment LUCIA Ink system delivers unparalleled professional photo quality plus gray, black and matte black inks for professional Black & White photos.
Ambient Light Correction - Have professional quality in virtually any type of lit setting as this new technology optimizes color output to match the specified lighting condition of the room you're admiring your photos in.
Beautiful & Borderless - Whether you want stunning color prints or classic Black & White's, print what you feel as a professional without borders up to 13" x 19".
Auto Photo Fix - This built-in technology is perfect for your home photo lab as it automatically categorizes your images into one of five types - Portrait, Scenery, Night Scenery, Snapshot with Scenery, and Snapshot with Night Scenery - then applies optimal image correction. For instance, it will automatically brighten faces that are backlit and under-exposed, and correct color cast to help ensure more accurate skin tones to help you produce gorgeous images.
2 Way Paper Feeding - To add to your options, this feature lets you load photo papers in the back of the printer and thicker fine art papers in the front, so you're always ready to print with the paper type you want.
USB 2.0 Hi-Speed - Plug the cable into your computer for a super-fast connection for your data transfers.
PictBridge4: Don't feel like using a computer? No Problem. - Thanks to a PictBridge connection you can also print photos directly from your compatible digital camera, DV camcorder or camera phone.
4 in 1, 2 in 1 Printing - This option allows users to place multiple pages on 1 page, saving up to 75% of your paper supply.
Individual Ink Tanks - The individual ink tanks may reduce the amount of wasted ink from cartridges as compared to a composite 4 color cartridge, by allowing users to replace individual color tanks rather than entire color cartridges.
ENERGY STAR - Qualified products are 25% more efficient than conventional models. By using less energy, these products reduce greenhouse gas emissions and saves energy as well as money.
RoHS Compliance - This is a directive from the European Union that restricts the use of hazardous materials found in electronic products. This product contains no cadmium, mercury, lead, hexavalent chromium, Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB) and Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDE).
Hardware Recycling Program - Canon is committed to the world community and the belief that we are building a better world for future generations. We want to work with our customers to help ensure appropriate recycling of products to help improve the environment and our local communities.
Refurbishing Program - The Canon U.S.A., Inc. refurbishing facility manages all waste stream processes for Canon products, so Canon has full control over recovery and salvage for Canon products, not third-party vendors.

We use this to print photographs for our clients, stunning results. Ink seems to last, and I like the fact that the ink is archival and water proof.

Very crisp photos as long as I use highest resolution I have for the pics. Very pleased with the quality. When I compare prints next to each other (one from the Pixma 9500 and the other from a local professional Kodak print store) I cannot tell which is which.
My First Large Format Printer
I try not to use ohers reviews to much. I havent seen any of the problems others have talked about yet. I had difficulty using Red River Paper profiles, but when I used a Canon profile similar to the paper I was using it turned out perfect. You need a lot of clearance for this printer. It is much larger than a standard desktop printer. But then again it should be. This is a phot printer. Other other use would probably be a waste of ink.I would give the product 5 stars. Only 4 because of the disappointing delivery practice.

This makes the most incredible prints! It's large and heavy and expensive, but it will print a 13x19 full bleed print. The quality is completely awesome.

I do a lot of pictures mostly antique and historical, and I am very happy with the quality of the prints. I've printed several sizes, 8" X 10", 11" X 17", and 10" X 13', in Gloss, Pearl/Semi Gloss, and Matte, and have been very happy with the results. I also have a Canon i9900 printer which I have been using for the past several years. I bought the new Pixma 9500 Mark II, to go with my new computer running Windows 7 Ultimate. Great Printer.
