I would have thought that a Premium case would have room for the cord. While it contains the gps nicely , i am bound to lose the USB cord since they can't be kept together.

Got it for my daughter who has a Garmin 1490. Great case. The only thing that would make it better (IMHO) is a magnet latch---it has velcro.
