Comments about Audio-Technica Phono / Turntable Cartridge - AT311EP:
The AT311EP is an exceptional value for the price. It easily outperforms other p-mount cartridges that cost twice as much, and is a substantial upgrade from the AT3492. If you have been experiencing minor inner groove distortion with your AT3492, the AT311EP may be the answer. The higher output also works great with headphone amps. If you're looking for great sound but don't want to upgrade from a p-mount to a standard mount turntable, give the AT311EP a shot.

About Me Experienced
I replaced a Stanton cartridge with this Audio Technica AT311EP I would have to say that I am amazed with the sound. The sound is so clear and some of my old LPs that had some cracking sound that was noticable with the Stanton seems to be quiter with the Audio Technica 311. I was son pleased with the Audio Tecnica that I purchased a second one for my downstairs turntable. Do hesitate to purchase.

Best price I could find for the cartridge. It is a good medium quality cartridge good for rehabilitating that old turntable you had in college.

Excellent value - very good performance

This cartridge is an excellent value. I have tested many phono cartridges while engineering at RCA Records Manufacturing. Sadly, few today are as good as they used to be 30 years ago. The AT-311EP is very good in absolute terms and excellent considering its price. High frequency tracking ability is way above average for today's pickups. The 0.3 x 0.7 mil elliptical stylus gives very clean sound also in the inner grooves of a record. My only complaint is that it is a bit critical in mounting because the cartridge body rides very close to the record even at around 1.5 grams tracking force.
