I love that the hopper takes such a large amount of beans. I find that it works better if I fill it with six or seven ounces. This is still a huge amount and if I do it twice I have a lot of coffee. A slightly lesser amount of beans in the hopper means that less residue "floats" outside and coats the receptacle. Very, very little bean-grind residue gets on the counter, and of course the receptacle pops right out and into the sink to be washed. I am happy and satisfied. I recommend this grinder. I will use it for as many years as it grants me!

This unit is quite compared to the regular grinder. Grinder produces a nice size granule and excellent coffee. I am still trying to reduce the static created and the resulting coffee drift.

The platic container that hold the ground coffee has a static charge to it that causes the coffee to spill all over the counter, and stick to the top and all sides of the container. Very Messy. It also has a indicator light that is always on and a great waste of electricity. Unplugging it after use, makes you have to reset the # of cups, everytime you use it. The DBM-8C model is better, but they no longer make or repair it.
