My first use of the processor was to grate about 45 pounds of carrots for coleslaw for a church fundraiser. I purchased it to replace a LaMachine that I had for probably more than 30 years and kept getting jammed with chunks of carrots. I followed instructions to prepare the carrots for grating. The Cuisinart was very quiet, almost purred as it grated. It was very fast and grated evenly. I used the medium side and did long grates. The only minor problem was the the last part of the carrots did not grate and ended up as long wide slivers in the bowl. I fished most out, piled a bunch of them back into the feed tube and grated those which left just a few ungrated.

I ordered this machine because we have one at work and I am familiar with it.
I had no idea how versatile this food processor was until I watched the instructional dvd that came with it.

The color (black) matches my kitchen so I leave it on the counter and I use it almost every day.

I love this processor. I had another cuisinart processor for 20 years and I loved that one as well. The old one still works but the bowl broke and we decided to replace the whole thing. Very quiet compared to the old one and much more powerful. Very happy with this item.

The first day I this arrived, I made a nice Greek Salad dressing, dough for bread, whole wheat dough for pasta and I used the recipe demonstrated from the dvd for making pesto! Excellent!

I recently bought this item to assist me with my sausage and meat curing hobbies. I reviewed and studied many food processors and price[...] was also important. After all the comparisons, I chose this product. I have not had the chance to use all slicers and cutting blades but so far I am very satisfied. My first application was grinding meat. I typically use a hand grinder and it is fairly time consuming and can be difficult grinding large quantities of meat. With this food processor, I ground 20lbs of meat in about 5 minutes saving a lot of time and sweat! I am very satisfied with the product so far though I have not used it extensively. I am looking forward to all the possibilities of this product!
