Comments about Garmin GPSMAP 62 2.6-Inch Handheld GPS Navigator - World Wide:
Man,this thing nails satellites in a hurry & hangs on to them like it owns them. Don't like the tracking line though...solid & thick unlike the bread-crumb trail of my old Etrex HC. Also, it's not all that user friendly, even after down-loading & printing out 46 pages of skimpy instructions. I'm in mountain search & rescue so its ablity to grab & keep satellites kept me from only giving it 3 stars because of its high learning curve. Maybe for those who are real GPS savy this won't be such an issue. I did have a good experience with Garmins Tec help guy who answered a question I had the very next day. Beach Camara had the best price I found and shipped it out ASAP. If you're a fast learner & need a real satellite buster, this is the one for you.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
