This is the best wide to medium zoom I've ever used! Its super sharp, even wide open. It is extremely sturdy and very smooth action.

This this is amazing. If you have the money, it is worth every penny. Lens focuses incredibly quickly and images are crystal clear and sharp as a tack, even at f/2.8.

GOOD QUALITY lens that rounds out my pro glass focal range from 24mm to 400mm in just three fast lenses. This lens is great for indoor photography such as weddings and family events in tight quarters, as well as landscape. Tack sharp images and very pleasing bokeh. About the only thing that could make it better would be to add VR to it, but with the 24mm-70mm focal range and f2.8 throughout the range, you should be able to get fast enough shutter speeds to take care of any shake. Even without VR, it gets 5 stars from me.

Smoothest action of any lens that I have ever owned. Quick focusing and great bokeh. A little heavy to carry and long for some storage gear, but well worth it.

Love it; it is now my workhorse lens. If it was lighter, it could be used as a walkabout daily lens too. But it's hard to carry around on a family day trip. For that I still use the kit lens. Just need something light.
It is a must have lens for weddings and event photography. Super sharp and super quick.

Best standard zoom you can buy for a Nikon. AF is very snappy, build is amazing, contrasty lens, and images are very sharp wide open. By far the best lens you can buy to capture those special moments.
