The Rokinon 8mm f/3.5 Fisheye Lens is an excellent addition to any photographer's collection, giving users the ability to expand their creativity and capture incredible scenes from a truly unique perspective. This manual focus lens, when used with cameras with an APS-C image sensor, creates images with an expanded perspective, including images with a creatively deformed outlook and a sharp pan focus that extends throughout the entire frame. By offering a 180-degree angle of view, this fisheye lens can be used to create amazing image expressions that cannot be seen by the human eye, such as exaggerated perspective and distortion. The minimum shooting distance (just 12 inches) and large depth of field also provide amazing close-up shots. In addition, this lens incorporates the latest optical multi-coating techniques. The process of multi-coating assures virtually flare-free photographs even under adverse lighting conditions, resulting in crisp, high-contrast pictures.

Comments about Rokinon 8mm f/3.5 Aspherical Fisheye Lens for Nikon DSLR Cameras:
This lens is a fantastic lens for its price! The lack of AF is not a factor because it is such a short lens everything is basically in focus. A great buy

Good quality, sharp fisheye.
from Portland, OR
I've only had the chance to use the lens for a few days. The image quality is quite good. Focus can be tricky since it's fully manual and you have to rely on your focus indicator which isn't always 100% accurate. I noticed that the F-stop doesn't register correctly in my Nikon D7000. I should be an f/3.5 lens but in camera it shows down to 2.8 and the f-stop is always off by about 1/2 a stop throughout the range.

Quality AND Value!
About Me Professional
I had a destination wedding last month and thought this lens would be a great addition for some cool, interesting and wild shots. Well, I was right! I pretty much kept it on my back-up camera and found myself constantly picking it up! I was very impressed with the quality of this lens. You just can not beat a true fisheye for the price! Hands down, if you are on the fence... get off! Give it a try. I truly believe you will be satisfied

Excellent, well constructed, fun!!!
from San Antonio Texas
Very well made lens. Heavy construction and very sturdy feeling. Full manual is very easy to work with. just have to remember to set the focal length since you cant really see the focus that well on the camera. setting the focus is very easy. I most of the time set it to f5.6 and infinite focus and most of photos are awesome. very simple. dont let the price scare you, this is a very well made lens that in my estimate will give years of fun. I have used the 10.5mm Nikon lens and this one even in a different class being all manual is way more fun. The price is a huge bonus but even at same price I would have taken this one over the Nikon!! And to add I am a fanatic Nikon fan :)Excellent well constructed fun!!!

Great deal on a fisheye . . .

I never felt that I had a big need for a fisheye so I never wanted to spend the money. This MF lens (how much do you actually have to focus a fisheye at F5.6 anyway?) got me interested.Since getting it, I have found a few more uses that I hadn't thought of and expect to keep coming up with more!
Excellent product for the money!

I purchased this to use on my micro four thirds Panasonic camera (with an adapter) and it took excellent photos. Highly recommended if you don't want to spend the big bucks on an autofocus model.
