Lightweight and Compact, the perfect travel companion
This may be the world's smallest steam iron with a mighty ability to set crisp creases and remove wrinkles. It is strong enough for everyday use at home, yet lightweight and compact for taking along with you.
When trying to iron in and around pockets and pleats, the SteamFast SF-717 with its tiny non-stick soleplate, will get into places bigger irons can't reach.
If you travel, or if you simply need to touch up garments away from home, the SF-717 Steam Iron is an ideal appliance. It comes with a convenient travel bag, and features a non-stick soleplate, and dual voltage for overseas travel. Your college kids away from home will love its portability and ease of use.

I use this iron next to my sewing maching station while I am piecing a quilt. For a little iron, it wields a lot of punch.
You can finally press ladies clothes!

I have several clothing items that are very tailored, which means no single section of fabric is large enough for the footprint of a standard iron. I always ended up with unintentional creases being formed by the iron, doubling my work. Furthermore details like ruffles, pleats, and darts were impossible to work strategically with a standard-sized iron. This little guy, only slightly longer than the palm of my hand, gets into all those little spaces without dragging a big back-end along and ruining what you've just pressed! It's also practically weightless, so I feel far less fatigue after ironing several garments. It did not remove the factory-press in a new pair of linen/rayon pants, but after the first wash maybe it will. My only complaint is the location of the cord; down on the right side next to the sole plate rather than out the top like standard irons, it tends to drag along the garment and catch on corners more often. I recommend a little cord-lifting antenna on your ironing board if you can. For those who do a lot of pressing, I recommend having both a standard and this mini plugged in simultaneously; you can switch between them for large areas and details like you would switch tools in any other area of the home. For a half-dozen garments or less, though, this will do well. Hooray, I finally can press clothes that are anything but flat!
Great little iron!

This is a great little iron! I was skeptical about how well it would work, given that it is so small, but No Worries! It may be small (which is high on my list of requirements), but it is every bit a quality iron.

I use this for quilt piecing. It's very handy perfect for small item, but not good for regular clothes, it doesn't slide well like big irons, but for what I use it is perfect.
Best mini iron on the market.

I purchased this mini steam iron to use on my quilting projects. I loved it so much that a friend had to have one also. It is a must for a seamstress,

Fits easily into small duffle or suitcase. Heats up quickly & well. Great to handle - well-designed easy grip. Tiny and cute, yet capable of substantial ironing. Cord is a good length. I appreciate the inclusion of the little water vessel for pouring water into the iron. Also appreciate fact that included cloth case carries both the iron and the water container.
Great little iron - suprising performanc

I travel somewhat frequently and wanted to purchase either a portable steamer or iron to press clothes after unpacking. I read other reviews of this portable iron and decided to give it a try. I am sending this review from Erlangen, Germany (I live in the SE US) where I had to give a presentation to about 120 professional colleagues. As luck would have it, I missed my connecting flight in the US and my bag showed up a day late. However, using this iron and a voltage adapeter, I was able to press my suit, shirt, and tie and looked like I had just come from home. The iron heats very quickly (20-30 seconds), steams just the right amount, and fits easily in the palm of my hand. I'm glad I chose the iron over the steamer and especially glad I chose this little jewel.
