won't work with 6D charger
The battery was delivered with some charge left, and it worked with Canon 6D camera. However, the 6D charger did not recognize the battery. Maybe it works with chargers that come with other models, but not with my 6D.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

About Me Quality Oriented
I gave the product one star because it was the lowest rating. The batteries (3) would not charge. I received a refund on these from Bill Haley, Sales Mgr. The only reason I bring it up at this point is that I am impressed that Beach Camera responded so quickly in my favor. I can't say as much for Beach Camera's supplier, Zeikos. They don't seem to be as responsive to customer needs. They were not very helpful when I asked them for product assistance. Try to pressure them to work on this area. They might listen to you.
Not Canon compatible.

This battery does NOT communicate with the Canon camera or it's charger. No way to know when it need to be charged.

Canon 6D doesn't read the battery
Canon 6D doesn't read that battery so one doesn't know how much power there is left in it.
Excellent Price but an Unreliable Produc

I purchased one, and my daughter independently purchased one, both of us assuming that they were Canon quality without the high price. Both wound up with batteries that discharged rapidly and then would not recharge. Unfortunately, getting an RMA requires telephone contact, original packing and customer paying shipment. It was simply not cost effective to return either battery.
As good as original batteries.

Shooting lightening takes lots of battery power, as the digital camera is running constantly. These last the same as original batteries do but far more econimical for us. They also don't charge any different either, so we can always have power available.

I was a little leery of this battery since it was so much less expensive than the OEM battery, but it seems to be working fine. I intend to buy another along with the Zeikos battery grip for my Canon 60D.
I'm liking what I've seen to date.

These batteries work well in my 7D. They provide reliable performence under heavy useage and they read-back their charge status and recharge performance to the camera. They haven't been put through a lot of re-charge cycles as yet, but to this point in time, they have performed flawlessly thru several charge cycles.

Can't beat the value. Better than $60 OEM.
