Comments about Audio-Technica ATH-ANC27 QuietPoint Active Noise-Canceling On-Ear Headphones:
I purchased two, one for myself and a second for wife. We fly about 4 - 5 times a year and these phones do an excellent job of cancelling "air plane" noise. They sound great, too! There are others on the market probably better, but cost 3-4 times as much.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

About Me Frequent Traveler, Retired
Great for air travel; especially on long overseas flights. The reduction in aircraft engine and wind noise make air travel much more relaxing and comfortable. The headphones can be uncomfortable after a few hours of wear.

I bought them as a gift for my wife.I was very disappointed when I used them. The volume is not even close to being too loud. When I moved them a little bit to get a more comfortable fit the music crackled. It sounded as if it was caused by a loose connection.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Not bad for the money

About Me Audiophile, Frequent Traveler
For the money, these are a decent pair of headphones. The noise cancelling feature leaves something to be desired. I hate comparing these to the Bose QC15, but there is no comparison. I purchased these for my daughter when we travel. She loves this pair, but I can tell a great difference in the two. However, if you don't have $350 to drop on the Bose and want an o.k. pair of noise cancelling headphones, these are not a bad choice. The audio quality is well above average.
AUDIO-TECHNICA ATH-AT27 HEADPHONES
THE NICELY CONSTRUCTED CASE AND ADAPTERS MAKE THIS HEADPHONE AN EVEN GREATER VALUE, COMBINED WITH WHAT I CONSIDER EXCELLENT SOUND AND NOISE CANCELLATION FEATURES.
This is a very good deal
