Canon BG-E11 Battery Grip for Canon EOS 5D Mark III Digital SLR Camera

This battery grip is always on my camera. It improves the handling of camera especially when shooting vertical shots. With 2 batteries installed, battery life is much longer. And even with the extra weight and increased size of the camera, this battery grip is worth having and using.

It is a must have to me whenever I purchase a new camera body. I like the dial on the corner so that I can change the setting easily. However, Canon change the battery compartment sideway instead of the back. The battery tray feels cheesy. To me, it takes longer time to change the battery. Also, they have no AA battery tray available for this grip unlike the 5D Mark II. In case you went out of the Li-on battery, you will have no back up.

Using a larger/heavier lens on a 5D III without this grip is foolishness. The handling gains along with the vastly improved vertical operation makes this a item no-brainer. Near 1D fit and finish rounds out a supurb product!

I love this product.

This is a great grip that I leave on my camera at all times but when I have to change out the batteries, it takes longer than the easy access 5d Mark II. It does have more functionality but is it really worth the extra money? I would wait until the price drops.
