I bought the battery as a back up for my camera. So far I am happy with it. Hopefully, I won't have any problems with it. And yes, I am glad that I bought original battery instead of any other maker. That is why I don't have any trouble with it so far.

I have owned many cheap 3rd party batteries over the past 6 years, none of which has performed as well as advertised. Even so-called extra-capacity batteries simply do not provide as many shots as an original Canon battery. Of all of these batteries, the only one that hasn't lost the ability to hold a charge is the original one that shipped with my first digital camera, a Canon Powershot S70. True, one can buy several 3rd party batteries for the cost of one Canon battery, and they almost certainly will.
