I use this for making smoothies. It's not as powerful as the 550W Wolfgang Puck models, but you can't buy replacement blending rods for them anymore, and you can easily get spare parts for the cuisinart, so here I am.

After a lot of research on immersion blenders I chose this one for the combination of performance, reliability and price, however I'm not sure if it will last. The third time I used it the blender attachment kept falling off in spite of initially locking when I put it on. So it's a little soon to know if this was a good item or I got ripped off. I have it four stars for now because when it stays on it works great.
