It's a little complicated to look at at first, but after watching the video, and using it, it's just wonderful... so much better than cheaper units I used to have. So glad I purchased it!
Very unhappy wwith new model
About Me Avid Cook
Compared to my broken DLC 7 made in Japan, this is inferior. Too many parts to clean. Older one was simple, well made and easy to use.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

We love it!

This machine replaces the one I bought in 1979, which worked until my husband finally burned up the motor grinding too much meat at one time. Had he not committee this kitchen faux pas, I would probably still be using the one I got more than 30 years ago. I love it for kneading bread--who needs a bread machine? I made 2-4 loaves a week in the old one for more than 30 years. This new model should outlast me; I'll leave it to one of my children in my will.
i love mine and bought for others
