This mixer replace an older Cuisinart 7-Speed mixer. My old mixer was very reliable but I wore out the motor trying to mix heavy bread dough.
This newer model mixes bread dough batter better. I also like the slow start feature, but the slow start wasn't as slow as I had expected. I like the new design for an easy clean factor. The whipping beater is great. I'm very pleased with this product and believe Cuisinart is a reliable brand.

the slowest setting is not slow enough to blend powdery items without making a mess. that was the main reason i bought this handheld.

Light weight but powerful. Heel rest very convenient. Different colors would be nice.

I love this handheld mixer. The slow speed is slow enough to mix dry ingredients AND to mix in chocolate chips and/or raisins. My arms tire quickly so this was a real bonus! Watch out for the whip! The first time I used it to make scrambled eggs, I put the speed at about 5 and most of my mixture ended up all over the counter and floor!! Hilarius! The next time I set the speed at 2 and used a bigger bowl with no problems. I have used it for scrambled eggs, cookies, cookie bars and cakes. It's great.

I'm very impressed with the power of this hand mixer. With 220 watts, it can handle tough mixing chores (ie cookies) many other hand mixers cannot. The design is excellent also, preventing accidental on/offs, plus the beaters eject easily.
