Comments about Cuisinart 3.5 Quart Programmable Slow Cooker:
I like the smaller size since there is only two of us. The fact that it was programmable was the selling point. Most smaller crock pots are not.The delivery of the item was very prompt.I appreciate that.

Perfect for my needs
from New York
I've used it 4 times already. Turkey chili, beef chili, chicken and carrots, and stew. I just love getting home from work and not needing to cook. I downsized from a 6 quart because there are only two of us. I needed the timer for the keep warm feature because it's about ten hours from leaving for work to the time I get home.

I love this slow cooker & buy it again!

Prepare main meal in advance and it is ready to serve. All I have to do is prepare the side dishes or finish the minor details. The slow cookers is great for every meal I have prepared so far.
Programmable is the only way to fly...
If you work during the day, programmable is the only way to go with a Crock Pot. Otherwise, you'll overcook the food. I can set it to cook for a certain number of hours (say 7) and then just keep the meal warm until I get home.Takes some getting used to though... Certain foods lend themselves well to slow cooking, others don't.Overall, it's been a great time saver.

This slow cooker is just the right size for a smaller household. It also has a "simmer" setting that doesn't boil the food. My favorite easy recipe is to put chicken breasts in the slow cooker, pour some salsa on them, and simmer for maybe 8 or 9 hours. Of course, when you use the "simmer" setting, you should check the temp with a meat thermometer. I love the fact that it has a timer, and when it has cooked the allotted amount of time, it switches to low. It takes up more room on my counter than I was expecting. All in all, it was a great purchase! [...]
