Tea steeper works great so far and I enjoy the different temps for more delicate teas.

The main issue that I see is for those of us that live at a higher elevation. The pot can't get the hot water to 212 degrees for the black tea setting and therefor won't shut off even though the water is boiling very vigorously. I called Cuisinart about this and unfortunately there is no calibration for high elevation. After 5 minutes of boiling the pot will shut itself off but almost 2 cups of water have boiled off by then.

In my case the herbal tea setting (200 degrees) is very close to the max temp the water can get to because of our elevation (6,500') so that is what I generally use for black teas.

I use the device for tea everyday. It is easy and convenient, brews a good pot of tea and keeps it warm....exactly what I wanted.

Never realized using the cheap tea makers how important temperature was in making different varieties of tea.
What a difference in taste making the Green and White teas at proper temperature!

We compared this to another top selling tea maker from another manufacturer. For the price, which was about half the price of the other we looked at, we did not go wrong with the TEA-100. I have seen people comment that loose leaf tea is difficult to remove from the basket, but we don't have any problem. Simply invert the basket and run under water. When we don't feel like cleaning, we simply put the loose leaf tea in cotton tea bags and it eliminates that step. It is so easy to use, that our 11 year old son does it with no problem. Very safe to use, water boils fast, and the tea comes out perfect every time. We absolutely love this product!

Infuser unit is difficult to work with. The infuser is a one piece unit with the lid on a shaft. The infuser lid remains too close to the infuser to load tea or to clean out the infuser afterwards. If you can get use to the awkwardness of loading tea and cleaning out the infuser, it is a nice unit.

Bought this for my dad and used it while visiting him, it is very clever, boils quick, steeps the different teas perfectly. It is a bit of a pain to clean and I found at times it was hard to tell if the lid was secure when pouring the tea, so you just have to make sure before you pour. It is not too large so looks nice out on your counter and is great for just boiling water as well. A lot of fun to use.
