Comments about Garmin Forerunner 310XT with Heart Rate Monitor:
Sleeker than the 305. I like the wireless connectivity and that data is stored online at Garmin Connect.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Does what it is suppose to for runners

This worked great. I attached the heart rate monitor, and now I am super motivated to keep my heart rate up. I love seeing an accurate count of my calories after my run.

Very slow locating satellites so you need to set it outside while you are suiting up to run.

I use a GPS enabled sportswatch to log my runs almost daily and puchased Forerunner 310XT because I had a hard time using the touch sensitive bezel on my Garmin ForeRunner 405 while wearing gloves in cold weather. My only complaint about this equipment is that the battery is not user replaceable. I would have switched brands for this reason but BuyDig's price was irresistable. I would recommend it to a person who can accept the battery situation, but not to any of my own friends.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
