I found this perfect for keeping track of my wandering dog. Since he moves fast, I need to have it signal every 30 secs which uses a lot of battery but if I charge it every night while he sleeps that is not a problem, just an additional routine.

The front page GTU-10 advertising at Beach camera and Garmin did not indicate a different model number is needed for operation in Canada, thus I returned the GTU-10 unused at a cost of approx $100 round trip shipping.

Never got to use the unit. It was supposed to be new, but it was already registered to someone who had returned it so I couldn't register it myself. It can't be used until it is registered.

Understand its limitations and you should be satisfied with it. Using the demand feature, I have gotten nearly a week of use before recharge. Sometimes it is slow to update its location, same as any GPS. I have to add that the unit, purchased from Buydig.com, was not new, as advertised. It appeared to be new, however it could not be registered with Garmin. I contacted Garmin, and it was already registered to someone else. I had to prove that I had not stolen it, then it took a week to de-register the previous owner. Not appreciated, Buydig.com

This is to track my dog, and I have been unhappy with its accuracy and general functioning for its intended purpose. Loss of signal is common and just unexplained inability to track.

within a few days of setting it up My wife who has Altzhiemers lost it. I was unable to locate it through GPS . I called Garmin for assistance they could not find it either

Great unit for the price.The unit comes with a year of free tracking! Easy to use and compact. The only con I must say that it doesn't do well under a vehicle.

Great product and very reliable.It gives you the exat location point on a large map and in writing on the left corner of your screen..Battery life is not bad compare to other devices.If you you press on demande you'll get the best of it at least 4 days,it depends how often you use it.the one year free unlimited tracking is unmatch.I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE
