I Got Some Space For You RIGHT HERE!
from Albany, NY
-I use the External HDD primarily for high definition video storage and music storage.-4TB of fast compact storage is great. It's easy to set up and easy to use. The plethora of different cables that comes with it is a plus too! (Firewire800,400 USB, ESATA)-It's a monster of a HDD so lugging it around isn't really an option. Maybe a protective case bundle to go with it would be cool.
I would buy this product again and again

About Me Casual user
The G-Raid was really easy to set up and use. A little heavy and bulky, but that may be the current norm for this much storage. Regardless, I highly recommend it. Just plug it in and it works! Great for someone who is or isn't a techy like me - ;)
G-Raid Powers Up my Home Network Drive
from Central California
This G-Raid from G-Technology is a very, very good external storage drive for serving my music and videos across my home entertainment network. It feeds directly into my Airport Extreme wireless broadcaster and serves up any and all of my archived movies, concerts, workshops, and music library. It is quiet even though it sports a powered fan. It is built like a bank vault while sitting elegantly with it unique blend of ultra modern matching Apple products design elements. You cannot go wrong with this drive.
Not compatible with Pro Tools
By Sweet Daddy Good Low
I bought this to use with my Pro Tools recording system but it's not compatible with Pro Tools so I can only use it for backup. That's very disappointing because I now need to keep another drive in the system.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Industry standard drives!
from Poughkeepsie, NY
I've been using G-RAID drives for years. I'd call them the best and most convenient drives on the market. They have also evolved with my needs. The FW800 interface was more than enough for DV, DVCPROHD and even Prores. Now that I've moved to RED and beefier ProresHQ and 4444, the eSATA interface is much welcomed. Build quality and design is also top notch! Love these things!
