I recently upgraded two kit lenses to pro lenses and immediately researched and chose the Hoya UV filter. The threading installed the filter which felt tight so that it should stay on well and provide the protection I was looking for!

I am using this 77 mm neutral filter with canon 10-22 mm lens. This is a well made filter with multi-coating which is durable. It is being used to protect my lens at all times.
It is pricier but worth the cost for durability.
