I'd a really good Logitech cam but was forced to buy this iLuv security webcam d/t the new malware that allows creeps to take over webcams of ANY type (built-in or portable), turn off the cam's power light (so you can't tell they've hacked in) & record whatever's going on in the area the webcam's located. The bums can make the lens move, zoom in/out, set it to record automatically if there's any movement or sound nearby & dozens of other tasks most of us don't
want spread about.

BE ALERT!!!This is VERY dangerous malware to say the least since these slime CAN & DO record your personal conversations, obtain your passwords or, if one's prone to 'dressing down' while surfing, post videos across the web w/o the victim being the wiser. There are hundreds of stories about this type of widespread malware - and it's super easy to contract even with the best anti-spyware & precautions you take.

This nifty iLuv webcam set up in less than a minute. It comes w/a disk loaded w/optional specialty software to create movies, edit pics, etc. For me the best part's the cover that slides neatly over the camera lens when not actually filming. This prevents anyone from sneaking freebie pics or snooping off my computer w/o my knowledge.

The only 'con' is also a 'pro': when the lens cover's on it also covers the mic. This is a 'con' in that I can't dictate clearly w/o sliding down the cover, but it's a 'pro' because the bad guys can't overhear what I'm doing the rest of the time. It's a minor inconvenience, well worth the extra step in order to thwart the s.o.bs who've nothing better to do with their lives than make everyone else miserable.

IMHO when they catch these *%@%& who cause the rest of us so much time, trouble & money trying to keep them out of our hair they oughta lock 'em up for life in special concrete prisons w/NO computers, NO modern conveniences & NO electricity.

They can have hot food e/o Feb 29th. LOL

Thank you very much. The original delivery was messed up by the carrier, but Beach Camera came through and issued me a new camera after a short length of time. The second camera arrived as promised and was perfect.

I purchased two of these for my children (grandchildren!!), and so far my daughter has used it successfully. It was great to see the grand sons "in person" since they are several states away.

She said it was easy to use, and the quality of the camera was very good.

Use the product primarily for Skype conversations. Webcam took a while to focus, and picture was too bright. However, picture improved when background lighting was adjusted.

I bought 2-one is for my daughter so we can visit and talk. She gets it next week while she's here for a visit in person...LOL
If it's as cool as the test I did with my friend, it will be awesome!
