You need to take the lens off to put the cam in the bag. There are some bags that you don't need to do this.

For small cameras. Will hold a point and shoot, battery charger, batteries and cards. Not much more. Don't expect to use it for a DSLR with anything larger than a 55 lens. Otherwise, it is a solid little case.
