5 out of 5 stars   Wacom Intuos Pro - gold standard of tablets
    December 17, 2016
Review submitted for Wacom Intuos Pro Pen & Touch Tablet Small (PTH451) Manufacturer Refurbished (WCUPTH451RB)
    Verified Purchaser

    Verified Reviewer
Pros: Solid refurb, complete with Wifi and new battery.
Cons: Wacom's support less than robust and software add-ons are worthless.
Other Comments: Purchased this tablet after weighing the offerings from various vendors. Wacom are really the premier tablets in the market place and it's not worth the time buying a tablet from a vendor who is unlikely to offer updated drivers or one which has sub-optimal functionality.

Review submitted for Wacom Intuos4 - Extra Large Pen Tablet Factory Refurbished 1 Year Warranty (WCPTK1240)

Pros: I purchased the extra large pen tablet primarily as a tool to leverage Photoshop and other photo editing applications, but it has become an integral part of my desktop leveraging and extending the capabilities of nearly all my computer applications. A very well thought out and user friendly tablet with both the pen and mouse.

Review submitted for Wacom Intuos5 - Large Pen Tablet PTH850 (WCPTH850)

    Pros: Precise, Large
    Cons: Nothing
Other Comments: This tablet is wonderful and exceeds all expectations. I can't think of anything that would make it any better. I wanted the large and was hesitant because of the cost but I'm very glad I got it. Be prepared for it to use up a lot of your desk space. I would just get it and treat yourself.

5 out of 5 stars   Meets and Exceeds Expectations
By JudoJeff (Rochester, NY) August 06, 2013
Review submitted for Wacom Intuos5 - Large Pen Tablet PTH850 (WCPTH850)
    Verified Purchaser
    Pros: Touch Gestures, Tracking
    Cons: Freebie Software Install
Other Comments: Pros: Tracking is incredible. I can write as fast as I can and it keeps up no problem. I can even (unfortunately) see the same little wisps of lines digitally as I do when with a real pencil I don't lift the tip completely before moving to a new letter. (Time to improve my handwriting.) Pressure sensitivity is smooth. Pen is comfortable to hold. I bought it for the pen input and didn't even really care about touch, but the touch is great as well. Two finger pan is SO handy. You can also pinch-zoom on Android emulators/VMs so you can finally see the entire Angry Birds level :D. The size of this thing is great too. It's active area is almost as large as my screen giving me an almost 1:1 ratio. The build quality is great and the device feels solid. Installation of the DEVICE was very easy, basically one-click. (Free software was a bit more complicated, see below.) Included Photoshop Elements software is quite capable and does work with the pressure sensitivity. Just remember to set the software in Advanced Mode or else it's a glorified cropping tool. This device is even upgradeable to wireless if you buy the extra kit which includes a battery and a transmitter/receiver. This device has far exceeded my expectations and I think it was at a really good price. Cons: The process of finding and downloading the freebie software was a bit cumbersome. You had to go to some minimalist sites and enter your included redemption code. It was a bit unnerving to read basically that if you don't get all the downloads you want properly at this time you're out of luck. Everything did work though, but the process is a bit unpolished. Bezel outside of the active area could be smaller, BUT this might be less comfortable for drawing. Tracking on the TOUCH is not quite as good as some better laptop trackpads, BUT if you need more precision just pick up your pen. Other Thoughts: I recommend checking the setting for "Force Proportions" in the Mapping tab of the pen options. That way if you draw circles on the tablet they will show as such on the screen. PC Info: Intel Core2 Quad @ 3GHz, 8GB Ram, Win7 Pro x64, SSD.

By Will (New York) May 12, 2013
Review submitted for Wacom Intuos 5 - Medium Pen Tablet PTH650 (WCPTH650)

    Pros: Size features
    Cons: Battery life
Other Comments: The Intuos5 M is a great upgrade from my Intuos 3 small. I love the new features and the size. The touch pad is very intuitive and responsive with wonderful customizability. The perfect companion to Lightroom and Photoshop. I would have liked the wireless battery to have better performance (6hrs per charge), but not that big of a deal. Overall, I am very happy with the product and the service from Buydig. Easy order process and fast delivery. I've been buying from them for years and have been very happy so far. Buydig is always my first choice for my photography related items... Keep up the good work!!!

4 out of 5 stars   Mostly good, with a couple drawbacks
By Nic (Los Angeles, CA) May 10, 2013
Review submitted for Wacom Intuos 5 - Medium Pen Tablet PTH650 (WCPTH650)
    Verified Purchaser
Pros: Wireless Option Is Nice, Nice design, Great sensitivity
Cons: Wears Out Tips Quickly, Again Tip Wear Too Much
Other Comments: Very good product, big upgrade from a very old Graphire 3. Sensitivity is awesome, look and feel is really nice. Must have if you are a heavy Photoshop user or scupting user (zbrush/mudbox). No real issues with drivers so far (Win7 64bit), except one program I have if it crashes I think it causes the Wacom driver to stop working. I have to restart the system service. I'm not sure I can blame Wacom for that since the other program is the one crashing. Biggest con... it wears through the nibs crazy fast. Starting on the intous4 they changed to a different surface to give the feel of paper, this ofcourse being rougher causes nibs to wear quickly. If you are heavy user you can expect to be replacing nibs every couple of weeks. I did adjust the pressure, but there is a point where I don't want it to be too sensitive just so I can save nibs. Luckily they are fairly cheap on ebay. Probably not a worthwhile upgrade if you already have the intous4, but any version before that its worth it.

Pros: reasonable price, Quick delivery, Easy to setup, Amazing quality
    Cons: No Paint Program
Other Comments: Just received our Wacom Intuos 5 a few weeks ago and I am excited for whats to come. The only thing that I was disappointed with was that there wasn't a paint program that came with it. But my Boyfriend purchased the top of the line Corel Painter 12, which takes our Wacom to the next level. It is easy to use. Everything that you want to do as a artist is right infront of us without the big mess. I'm very excited about the Wacom Intuos 5.

4 out of 5 stars   Amazing tablet with annoying touch pad
By Andrew the visual effects artist (Redwood City, CA) December 05, 2012
Review submitted for Wacom Intuos 5 - Medium Pen Tablet PTH650 (WCPTH650)
    Verified Purchaser
Pros: Tons Of Drawing Space, Wireless option, Great Pen Pressure, Cool Lights, Thin Tablet
    Cons: Very Sensitive Buttons
Other Comments: I have painted one painting with this tablet so far and the pen pressure is amazing. I also have the tablet set to one screen so I use more of the tablet's drawing surface. It's huge and amazing! Well worth the money. The touchpad aspect of the tablet is pretty worthless and annoying if you accidently turn on that feature. The buttons are also very sensitive. If I lightly run my wrist over the buttons they turn on and show a diagram on the screen. I think this can be turned off since I usually just use the keyboard for shortcuts. Other than that, this is an amazing product and worth every penny.

5 out of 5 stars   the heavyweight of graphics tablets
By Grizzled Geezer (Renton, WA) October 10, 2012
Review submitted for Wacom Intuos5 - Large Pen Tablet PTH850 (WCPTH850)
    Verified Purchaser
    Pros: Highly customizable, Feature-rich
Cons: Large For Its Active Area, Heavy
Other Comments: I'd used a 12x12 ArtZ II Wacom for many years. When I moved to a new computer running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, I discovered there wasn't a simple way to get a serial-interface tablet to work on a computer without integral serial ports. * (I didn't care to install a serial-interface card. I tried a cable adapter using a standard USB-to-RS232 chipset, but it didn't work with any of the serial devices I wanted to move over. These adapters seem to work only with programs that directly address RS232 hardware, whereas all my serial devices used drivers.) So, as Doc Brown would say... In terms of basic features, the PTH-850 isn't significantly different from the ArtZ II. There was no need to adapt or relearn anything. I found the pen's pressure sensitivity a bit more responsive. And I liked the option of several types of pen tips, of varying stiffness and flexibility. (These are stored in the pen holder.) I also liked the elimination of the outboard power supply -- the PTH-850 is powered by the USB port. My only real qualification is that I perhaps should have bought a smaller, less-bulky model. This is offset, however, by the eight buttons and ring, which can be thoroughly customized to do pretty much whatever you want. (The ArtZ II had presets, but you had to stop what you were doing and select them with the pen, rather than using the hand that wasn't drawing.) The PTH-850 also recognizes a wide range of gestures (more than I've seen on any product of any kind), but I haven't yet found my own best use for them. Perhaps the oddest/cutest feature is the LED "landing lights" that mark the corners of the active area. They sort-of make sense, as they're visible even in dim light, and (unlike paint) can't wear off. Is it any surprise that you can adjust their brightness? Needless to say, the user manual is poorly written and organized. Not to mention remarks that will leave you howling. Reading it is an annoyance. Barring some major interface change, or the discovery of some incredible feature no one has yet thought of, this Wacom looks to be my last graphics tablet. * The persistence of the COM port is surprising. Bluetooth, for example, creates a virtual COM port for each connected device.

    Pros:
    Cons:
Other Comments: I use this for work [I'm a graphic designer] as well as a drawing in a my free time. It's extremely easy to use. I like the sensitivity and how easy it was to get the lines in. Though I don't like too much how the working space on the tablet is literally the size of your screen. My hand kind of strains to get to the ends of the screens [I'm a very small, left-handed person].

5 out of 5 stars   Awesome Tablet

    Pros:
    Cons:
Other Comments: It's like a giant Macbook Pro touchpad... The buttons are super intuitive and super easy to configure. It's the best Wacom purchase to date. The only thing agains it is the USB Connector points up (away from the user) .. In every setup I've tried where the computer or laptop is not sitting right in front of me, the cable gets in the way. My computer is normally under my desk and since I use multiple monitors, my laptop is also typically at my side.. so the cable loops over the tablet. Not a big deal though.>> I LOVE THIS TABLET!!

4 out of 5 stars   A great product but...

    Pros:
    Cons:
Other Comments: Although this is a great product, it is not worth upgrading if you're coming from an Intuos 4 tablet. That being said, if this is your first tablet or coming from an earlier addition, than by all means buy one. Once you use a tablet you'll never use a mouse again! This is the one to buy.
