XtremeMac Soma Stand - Portable Stereo Speaker Dock for iPod, iPhone and iPad

We got this to replace a docking station we had for our i devices in our daughter's room that had water spilled on it. Were looking for something versatile that an ipad and ipod/iphone could dock into and this works great. The only thing that bothers me is how flimsy the flip out i jack is. It flips out from the speaker and when my daughter gets a hold of it I can see it breaking if I am not there to stop her. We have to flip it back into the speaker whenever we are done with it. Just a little inconvenient for something that is actually pretty convenient for adults. Like that it can be plugged in or used with batteries. Overall a quality product for the price.

Cheap construction, poor product

I use it in my kitchen while cooking or cleaning, listening to Pandora, on my iphone. It charges my iphone quickly also. I place it in a corner, to reflect the sound, it also adds bass, which it lacks. I thought it was a little pricy for it's size, but still I'm happy with it. For a real audio perfectionist, you might want something else, but for it's size it does the job. The controls take a little getting use to also.

My son has used it everday since he got it. Very portable and good sound.
