Single Sensor Calibrates All Your Displays
Whether you are using the latest in LED technology, an older CRT monitor, a laptop, iPod, iPhone, or projector, Spyder4Elite Software allows you to calibrate all your devices with a single sensor to achieve all-around consistency in color and brightness.
A simple upgrade kit, available online for an additional charge, allows you to add calibration for your TV. You can also calibrate multiple displays connected to your computer, a valuable function for professional photographers and studios.
Simple Calibration Process
Spyder4Elite's step-by-step calibration wizard helps you calibrate your displays. After performing a few preliminary steps, you can easily define the display type, model, and system of calibration.
A configuration of 2.2 gamma, 6500K white point, and 120 brightness is recommended, but with unlimited options available, you can easily adjust these settings to your preference.
A "ReCAL" feature allows you to quickly and easily recalibrate your display to compensate for changes that occur over time.
Patented Full-Spectrum Color Sensor
The patented seven-color sensor makes Spyder4Elite an improvement upon colorimeters that use three-channel RGB sensors.
Each unit is individually tuned in the factory to accurately and easily handle a variety of wide-gamut and normal-gamut displays.
Adapts Display to Surrounding Light
Spyder4Elite features an additional sensor that detects light changes in the surrounding environment and adapts the display luminance to preserve image contrast. This means you can view and edit images with confidence on a display calibrated to show true-to-life colors.
Improved Accuracy and Stability
The fourth-generation Spyder4Elite has double-shielded color filters to better match CIE color standards, and it has improved long-term stability over previous generations.
The three-legged design sits flat on your display to ensure precise readings and includes a wide aperture, honeycomb baffle, and diffuser to remove angular sensitivity.
Overall, Spyder4 offers an increase in average accuracy of 26 percent over the previous generation of Spyder3.
Additional Features and Software Options
Additional features for even greater color management control include: built-in presets for video standards, such as Cineon, NTSC and PAL; customizable workflow settings; unlimited choices for gamma, white point, and white-and-black luminance; gray balance algorithm for the most accurate grays; and front projector calibration for color-accurate presentations. StudioMatch and SpyderTune features allow for visual fine-tuning of multiple displays in the studio.
This Spyder colorimeter also features Advanced Monitor Quality Analysis tools for professional users, offering uniformity luminance and color graphing tools, as well as advanced calibration accuracy testing, display gamut graphing, and support for CRT displays.
Spyder4Elite is backed by a one-year warranty.
