The New G-Line Sony has recently released three compact full-frame E-mount prime lenses The 24mm F2.8, the 40mm F2.5G, and the 50mm F2.5G are fast-ultra-wide-angle prime lenses perfect for your landscape, astrophotography, portrait, street photography and videography. Weighing in at just 6.2oz and below, the small, lightweight design on these new fast ultra-wide-angle prime lenses from make them easy to carry when you are on the go. So they are perfect for your vacation and travel photography this summer. No need to worry about the elements when you are on an outdoor shoot. The 24mm F2.8, the 40mm F2.5G, and the 50mm F2.5G are all three dust and moisture resistant. The rubber gaskets that surround the lens mounts help keep contaminants and moisture away from the camera body. These wide angle lenses also come with bayonet-style lens hoods for added protection. The 40mm F2.5G, and the 50mm F2.5G have front 49mm filter threads allowing you to add threaded filters as well. These three newly released wide angle lenses from feature a focus hold button on the side that can be customized to any assignable function you choose. You can quickly control your focus mode with the AF/MF switch that sits just below the focus hold button. With the fast and reliable AF, and the inclusion of a high-precision manual focus ring, you will achieve excellent results with your stills and videos. The silent aperture control is beneficial for video. Sony’s new wide angle lenses are pretty much the same size, and have several features in common. However, the 24mm F2.8 lens is comprised of 8 elements in 7 groups. The Sony FE 40mm F2.5G and Sony FE 50mm F2.5G are made up of 9 elements in 9 groups. All three use aspherical elements. The Sony FE 50mm F2.5G, the largest of the three new lenses by just 1 gram, and the 24mm also utilize one ED element. Sony’s new wide angle lenses are compact, lightweight and powerful. These prime lenses with their premium features, are the only lenses you will need for your summer photography.
