Do I need a separate amplifier or receiver?
No. The built-in switchable phono/line preamp lets the AT-LP70X connect directly to powered speakers, a home stereo, or another component — with or without a dedicated phono input.
Is any setup required?
Very little. The AT-VM95C cartridge comes integrated into the J-shaped tonearm with no balancing or cartridge installation needed — select your speed, press Start, and listen.
What speeds does it play?
Both 33-1/3 and 45 RPM records, with fully automatic start/stop operation and a tonearm lift lever for playing specific tracks. A 45 RPM adapter is included.
Can I upgrade the sound later?
Yes — the fixed-body AT-VM95C cartridge accepts any VM95 Series replacement stylus (conical, elliptical, micro linear, or Shibata), so you can step up sound quality without replacing the turntable.
What keeps vibration and noise down?
A three-piece anti-resonance chassis, a die-cast aluminum platter with felt mat, and an external AC adapter that moves AC/DC conversion outside the chassis to reduce noise in the signal chain.
