The Bose S1 Pro+ is a battery-powered, all-in-one portable PA system built for musicians, DJs, presenters, fitness instructors, event hosts, and anyone who needs serious sound without hauling a traditional multi-piece PA rig. At just 14.4 lbs with an integrated carry handle, the S1 Pro+ combines a loudspeaker, rechargeable battery, Bluetooth speaker, 3-channel mixer, microphone preamp, instrument input, ToneMatch processing, reverb, and optional wireless mic/instrument connectivity into a single enclosure that can go from the car to the stage in one hand. Bose rates battery life at up to 11 hours, making it equally suited for live performances, backyard events, rehearsals, presentations, karaoke, and mobile gigs.

The S1 Pro+ uses a 2-way loudspeaker architecture with one 6-inch woofer and an array of three high-frequency drivers. That combination is designed to deliver the projection needed for small live performances while maintaining the clarity required for vocals and acoustic instruments. Bose positions the system for audiences of roughly 50 people, making it particularly useful for coffeehouse gigs, ceremonies, classrooms, fitness sessions, small parties, and other environments where a conventional PA system would be excessive.

An integrated 3-channel mixer is one of the biggest differences between the S1 Pro+ and a conventional portable Bluetooth speaker. Channels 1 and 2 feature combination XLR/¼-inch inputs for microphones, guitars, keyboards, and other line- or instrument-level sources. Channel 3 handles Bluetooth streaming along with wired AUX sources. Independent onboard controls let performers adjust volume, EQ, and reverb without carrying a separate mixer. ToneMatch presets are specifically designed to optimize microphones and instruments, while additional control is available through the Bose app.

The S1 Pro+ also incorporates two wireless RF receiver channels directly into the speaker. Optional Bose Wireless Mic/Line and Instrument Transmitters can plug directly into compatible microphones or instruments and communicate with the PA without a traditional audio cable. When the transmitters are not being used, they can be stored in integrated charging ports on the S1 Pro+, keeping them charged and ready for the next performance. The wireless transmitters are optional accessories and are not included with the standard speaker-only package.

Four physical placement modes make the S1 Pro+ unusually flexible. It can be positioned vertically on a table or floor, tilted backward to project toward a standing audience, placed horizontally as a stage-monitor wedge, or mounted on a standard 35mm speaker stand. Built-in orientation sensors detect how the cabinet is positioned and automatically adjust the system's EQ to compensate. Even the OLED control displays rotate automatically when the speaker is repositioned.

Battery operation eliminates the need to stay near an electrical outlet. Bose specifies up to 11 hours of playback under typical lower-power conditions, while demanding full-output use can reduce runtime to roughly 5 hours. The internal lithium-ion battery can be recharged from AC power, and the S1 Pro+ can also operate while connected to mains power for longer gigs and permanent installations. Bose's official specification lists approximately five hours for a full battery charge.

Bluetooth 5.0 lets the system function as a powerful wireless music speaker when microphones or instruments are not required. Bose specifies a wireless range of up to approximately 30 feet (9 meters). Through the Bose app, users can remotely control volume, treble, bass, ToneMatch settings, Bluetooth connections, and other mixer functions, allowing adjustments from the stage, audience area, or across the room instead of constantly returning to the speaker.

Despite its professional PA capabilities, the S1 Pro+ remains highly portable. The enclosure measures approximately 13.1 inches high, 9.4 inches wide, and 11 inches deep and weighs only 14.4 lbs — about one pound lighter than the previous-generation S1 Pro. An integrated top handle makes carrying straightforward, while the aluminum-and-polypropylene construction keeps the cabinet manageable without requiring a rolling case for short moves.
