Sony Pro XDCA-FX9 Extension Unit for PXW-FX9

Sony XDCA-FX9 Extension Unit for PXW-FX9 XDCAM Full-frame Camera will provide additional capability and I/O to transform the FX9 into a high-end Production Camera or an ENG Camera. 16bit RAW and D-Tap for production, and wired LAN and Dual Link capability for live streaming and file transfer to enhance ENG operation.

16bit RAW output1 & 2
16-bit RAW1 offers a phenomenal increase in post-production creative freedom to fully exploit FX9’s exceptional 15+ stops of dynamic range. FX9 supports export of 16-bit RAW at either 4K or 2K resolution using the optional XDCA-FX9 extension unit with a single BNC cable connection to compatible external RAW recorders2.

1 - RAW output will be enabled with a future firmware release. Limited to 10-bit recording during 120fps high frame rate shooting within Super35 image circle.

D-Tap / 4pin Hirose to power additional accessories
XDCA-FX9 is equipped with both a D-Tap and a 4pin Hirose connector to supply power to any additional accessory needed. (battery not included)

V-Shoe battery & DWX / UWP wireless audio slot-in
With the XDCA-FX9, FX9 will be powered by a V-Shoe battery offering more operation time and will also provide a good weight balance for shoulder mount operation.

Sony DWX / UWP audio wireless slot-in receivers are compatible with the XDCA-FX9. Using the MI shoe or XLR on the FX9 camera body, now the FX9 will be capable of recording maximum 4ch of audio coming from 4 sources of wireless audio.

Wired LAN port and 2x USB slots for Dual Link
Wired LAN port and Dual Link Cellular connectivity to the network will allow FTP file transfer to any FTP server capable. Also, it will provide compatibility to XDCAM air cloud service. (battery not included)
