DJI Mic 2 Review

DJI which is a class leader in drones, gimbal technology and wireless microphones (like the Osmo action) is back at it again, providing amazing audio quality on the DJI MIC 2. This is a new mic system which can capture unbelievably clear and precise sound quality which is great for beginners and Vloggers alike.

Being able to remove the background noise and still provide high-quality audio is something everyone is looking for in a wireless microphone system. Since Vloggers and Content Creators may often find themselves completing a Vlogging session in some of these trying noise conditions, the audio recording will not suffer as a result.

There are a plethora of additional features and options that the DJI Mic 2 brings to the table. These features which will be delineated below make the DJI Mic 2 a great addition to the arsenal of any Vlogger or Content Creator.

You can use these ports to connect to your smartphone, whether that be an iPhone or an Android phone like the Samsung Galaxy (Galaxy S24) series. You can even use this with the new Apple Vision Pro device.

  • The transmitter can connect directly to DJI Osmo Pocket 3 via bluetooth, even without the receiver. Once connected it can operate with third party editing software.

  • A 1.1-inch OLED touchscreen is also equipped on the DJI Mic 2. You can use the touchscreen to check your volume and remaining battery life. In addition, you can make adjustments to gain, volume, brightness and other options.

  • The transmitters feature a clip-on design with a magnetic snap for easy attachment to clothing and other setups.

  • Vloggers who are traveling not necessarily long distances, however even if so, they will appreciate the small and sleek design with an included wrist strap for easy transportation of the DJI Mic 2.

  • The carrying bag for the DJI Mic 2 can accommodate even the DJI Mic 2 (2 TX + 1 RX + Charging Case) combo bundle.

  • The transmitters can also function as standalone voice recorders or serve as audio backups during filming.

  • With a unbelievable maximum audio recording and transmission range of 250m (820 ft.) maximum audio transmission in open, unobstructed environments without interference, the audio quality that you desire will shine through.

  • Attach the DJI Lavalier mic to your DJI Mic 2 to capture low profile audio which is a tremendous capability of the lavalier microphone or LAV Mic.

This is a great All-In-One, Ready to Use wireless microphone system. With the the specs of the base DJI Mic 2 listed above coupled with 6 hours of operating time, 14 hours of internal recording, this bundle consists of one transmitter and one receiver.

An additional option to try is the DJI Mic 2 (2 TX + 1 RX + Charging Case) All-in-one Wireless Microphone. Weighing in at approximately 200 grams, this is an extremely lightweight and compact two transmitter and one receiver option which comes with the charging case. A large 3250 mAh battery provides the lengthy battery life.

When shooting Vlogs or creating content that you would like to upload and share on your social media page, you may want to look into purchasing a spare battery, as you don’t want to run out of juice during a Vlog. Waiting for the DJI Mic to charge via the included charging cable is obviously not as efficient as having a backup battery. Having a top notch DSLR camera with a great prime lens is wonderful, but as a vlogger, you want to make sure that you have the proper audio tools to make it a great Vlog.
